Last Question….

Tom Lewis was a British immigration officer in early 19s. He use to make fun of Indians by asking silly questions during immigration process.

In July 1905 Indian journalist and freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak visited Britain (UK), for immigration Tilak reported to Tom Lewis desk. After completing the immigration formalities Tom asked Tilak (with cunning smile): “ Mr. Tilak can I ask you some-thing”.
Tilak: “Sure…. Officer”.
Tom: “Why you Indians have different skin colors, some are brown, some black, semi white etc…., see English people, we have same color (White)”.
Tilak immediately replied: “Horse’s have different races and colors, donkeys not. Nature may not want to spend time to fill colors in donkeys”

Tom never asked silly question after that…he got good answer to his silly question….

if you think you are great bcoz of your skin color...then no need to mention color of donkeys J…Jai Hind…

Office-Office (Fiction of Facts)

Our website http://manojsharmajee.blogspot.com/ did a survey on “Five most common things, you may find in every office”.

The below fact are based on input from 70 companies and 2000 employees. The numbers are more accurate for IT companies, but same fact holds good for all other industries as well (the number may differ industry to industry and project to project).

The employees are divided in two segments. So decide which segment you fall and make use of suggestions made by experts (“What you should do?”). It will help you to take right decision for your career.

So here is the five most common things you may find in every office.

1) Lick Mill Express: The employees who lick boss’s ass and get express benifits.

What you should do?
a) If you are member of Lick Mill then keep doing it. You must thank god, as it’s a god-gifted skill.
b) If you are step-child of Lick Mill Corp, then don’t have any jealousy for Lick Mill folks, because it’s a soft skill, which you can never develop (GOD GIFT).

2) Fake hard working folks: work for long hours and weekend, OR work especially when and where it’s not needed.

What you should do?
a) If you belong to other segment (or smart working) then finish your work and also work assigned to fake hard-working guys, otherwise later in the project you may end up working more to clean-up mess created by these fake hard-working folks.
b) If you are hard working then keep working hard and on weekends, don’t forgot to send emails in late nights/odd hours, it will help you to achieve your career goals (OBVIOUSLY NOT HELP IN GROWTH OF ORGANIZATION, BUT WHO CARES?).

3) Sunshine Folks: In any organization OR projects, on average 30 percent employees do the real work, rest 70 percent employees are called sunshine folks. These folks called sunshine as they get most of the benifits (award wining performance).

What you should do?
a) If you belong to 30 percent segment then work like a donkey and accept it as your fate. And do what you are good at (code etc), never try to move to sunshine segment, because you are not made for it, and you are definitely going to fail even if you try to do so.
b) If you belong to 70 percent then keep getting the credit for others hard work, and enjoy your life as you do in every project/org, it’s due to your good karma of last birth.

4) The stingy colleagues: These colleagues will often come with you for lunch and dinner, but they will make you pay for their expenses.

What you should do?
a) If you are victim then pay bill this time as well, and think this payment is not going to make you poor and other guy rich. Your status in society and bank balance is going to be remain same, before and after payment of this food bill (Your Status: MIDDLE CLASS SALARIED EMPLOYEE).
b) If you are at other side then keep enjoying your free meal and be happy. Although your status is going to be remain same (Your Status: CHEAP MIDDLE CLASS SALARIED EMPLOYEE).

5) Super Boss: Folks on lead position but present themselves as CEO of your organization.

What you should do?
a) If you know such person just ignore them, because these kind of folks found in every company and civilizations. You should not think of leaving the organization due to such folks, as you are going to face same challenge in next organization too.
b) If you think you are the super boss and you doing it to get respect from people work underneath you, then just read the below quote:
“Respect is something you have to earn, not ask or expect”.

Add your suggestion in comment box. We ‘ll include your suggestions as well and give it HR of all the companies to make it part of their employee induction program. Lets make the world better place to work.

Whatever happened, happened for good

The king of Virat Nagar Naamdev and his chief minister Arjun Singh were very good friends. They use to be always seen together. Some of other ministers use to make fun of their friendship that Naamdev and Arjun even go for rest room together.

Arjun Singh was very optimistic and a great devotee of lord Shiva, on every occasion he use to be very calm. He ‘ll make two comments on every situation:
“God Bless You” and “Whatever happened, happened for good”.

If there is good news, Arjun will say “God Bless You”, “Whatever happened, happened for good”. Even If someone died, Arjun Singh will make the same cool comments.

One morning when king Naamdev was on his regular morning walk, a masked man attacked the king. King was able to save himself, but during the fight, king lost his right-hands middle finger. The masked man ran away and no one could trace him.

All the ministers reached king’s palace to show their sympathy to king (just to get their brownie points). Arjun Singh also met king, and made his comments.
“Whatever happened, happened for good”.
King was already irritated and these comments made him crazy. He ordered to arrest Arjun Singh and put him in jail for insulting the king.

A month later King went for hunting in Sariska-van forest. During the hunting king lost his way and even his security personnel’s were left far behind. King reached to the kingdom of tribes ( आदिवासी).
Tribe’s army arrested Naamdev and took him to their chief. Tribe’s chief decided to scarifies kings life in honor of their god ( बलि).

Naamdev was tied to a pole and tribes started dancing on ‘hu la la’ song. Suddenly an old man said, “he don’t have finger, he donor have finger…he can not be executed”. Naamdev was immediately released as based on tribe’s custom a man should have all his body part available before he can be sacrifices in honor of their god.

As soon as king reached Virat Nagar, he ordered to release Arjun Singh from jail. Arjun Singh reached to king’s palace.
Naamdev said, “My dear friend you were very right, I am sorry, I couldn’t understand it and punished you for no reason”

Arjun Singh made his cool comments, “If I was not in Jail, I must have accompanied you for hunting, and tribes might have killed me instead of you, because I do have all my body parts intact, So Whatever happened, happened for good”.

God bless you……sometime we curse god. but later we may realize why it happened.

The Power of Lucky Ring (A truth of Life)

Most of us spend our lifetime just to earn more and more money. If you think earning more money is motive of our lives, then you must read the story of Gujarati businessman Kanti Bhai:

Kanti Bhai has jewellery shop in Kandhiwali area of Mumbai. Kanti Bhai was making decent money with his business, but he was very stingy and do not believe in spending a penny. Every one has seen Kanti Bhai in same pair of clothes since generations. Kanti Bhai eat only if it’s necessary, otherwise he use to skip lunch and dinner. People use to make fun of Bhai that he don’t wash his cloths for months, and his cloth smell so bad that you can smell it from Kandhiwali to Andheri ( A different city couple of miles away). His son Karan didn’t like father’s attitude and left home in early age, so Kanti Bhai was living with wife Sharda Ben. Knowing Bhai’s nature no relatives OR friends use to visit Bhai’s home.

One day Kanti Bhai was walking back to home after closing the shop, suddenly a car stopped near to him and some one called from the car “KANTI BHAI…”
Kanti Bhai got surprise to see that this was Shakun, a childhood friend of Bhai.
Shakun asked ‘Hey Kanti Bhai, where are you going”
Kanti Bhai “To Home”
Shakun “I can drop you by my car”
Kanti Bhai immediately agreed to accept Shakun’s offer, as it was Bhai’s first-time experience to sit in Infinity G35 model car (an expensive car) OR intact it was the first car trip for Bhai.
Driver started towards Kanti Bhai’s home and the old friends started talking on childhood fun. Shakun use to be very poor in his childhood, so Kanti Bhai could not keep quiet and asked him desperately, how Shakun is able to maintain such status. Shakun politely explained that he is an investor in share market and he is earning in millions now a days.

They discussed and remembered their childhood memories and car reached to Kanti Bhai’s home in few minutes. Although, Kanti Bhai offered Shakun to come home, but inside his mind Kanti Bhai’s thinking was to say goodbye from outside, so that he don’t need to offer Tea OR Dinner to him. Shakun said he would come next time as one of his client is waiting for him on dinner in GoodLuck restaurent Andheri, and Shakun left for Andheri.

After coming inside the home Kanti Bhai keep thinking about Shakun, he thought I can also invest a little money in share, if share goes up, I can also be an millionaire like Shakun. After thinking ten thousand times, Kanti Bhai finally invested two thousand in share of an upcoming IT company. Kanti Bhai’s luck worked here as well and in a month period his share price went twenty times up. Kanti Bhai was very excited after finding an easy money making option, so he started investing little more in share market and his share prices were went up again, in a year his share value become two million.

One morning when Kanti Bhai was busy in discussions with his financial advisor to invest in a new dot com company, suddenly Bhai got a call from Gujarat, it was his elder sister Laxmi, she informed Bhai that Laxmi’s husband Ganesh met an car accident in Mumbai and she pleaded Bhai to reach hospital immediately to provide help to his brother-in-law, but Kanti Bhai was in mood for big investment of his life, so he did not gave importance to it. He got another call in the evening from his wife that his brother-in-law has died in nearby hospital. Kanti Bhai did not feel anything, as he was excited to invest all his shares to upcoming dot COM Company and dreaming to become a billionaire.

After two weeks of this incident his dot COM company share went down and Kanti Bhai loose around fifty percent of his share value. His advisor explained him it’s a downturn for few weeks and share may come-up in few days. On the other side people said its curse of Kanti Bhai’s sister, because he invested all his money the day his brother-in-law was dying in the hospital. It may be true because in few months share value came in thousands from million and the dot COM Company, where Kanti Bhai invested all his money got disappeared from the market.

Although Kanti Bhai’s Jewellery shop was still running well as before, but Kanti Bhai could not take the shock of suddenly loosing millions. He stopped eating and fall terribly sick. His wife took him to several hospitals and famous doctors, but they couldn’t diagnose any disease still Kanti Bhai’s health was going down day by day. One day Kanti Bhai’s family doctor Shayam Lal visited him, after routine check up, he told Sharda Ben that Kanti Bhai is going to die soon as he don’t have any interest towards life, so try to keep him happy. As soon as people came to know that Bhai is going to die soon, they started visiting Kanti Bhai’s home to see him last time.

This news finally reached to Kanti Bhai’s sister Laxmi, hearings about his brother’s illness, Laxmi couldn’t stop her from visiting his brother last time. She reached to Kanti Bhai’s home, where Sharda Ben explained her the entire story.

Laxmi reached to his brother’s room, seeing his sister Kanti Bhai said ‘ I am sorry; I did not try to save your husband’s life. Please forgive me for that”
Laxmi said “Brother it’s my destiny and I have to live with it, I don’t think I can held you responsible for it”. After that they talked several things about their old friends and family members.

Next day, before starting for her home, Laxmi went once again to his brother’s room and asked “Dear Kanti can you do me a favor’, Kanti Bhai thought she may ask some financial help, so he said I have lost all my money in shares.
Laxmi said, “No I don’t need your money”
Kanti Bhai: “Then what?”
Laxmi: “My husband often comes to my dream, and he ask for his ring….”
Kanti Bhai: ‘Which Ring, I don’t have any ring”
Laxmi: ‘No, it’s the ring I have gifted him on one of his birthday, It was his lucky ring, he always use to carry this ring with him, but that fateful morning, he forgot to carry it with him and died in car accident, so I have his lucky ring with me…..”
Kanti Bhai said “…Ohh…but how can I help you in that?”
Laxmi said “ after death you might meet my husband, so can you please handover Ring to my dear husband”.
Kanti Bhai thought that he is not loosing anything here, if he meets Ganesh after death he can give him the ring OR else he can keep himself, so he immediately agreed. Laxmi left for her home in couple of hours.

A week later of this incident an miracle happened and Kanti Bhai’s health become better and in month he was completely fine and re-started going to his Jewellery shop. Also, Kanti Bhai becomes a nice person after that. His wife and everyone strongly believed that it’s the miracle of lucky ring, which Laxmi gave him. All the relatives and Friend want to see OR touch the ring once, believing that it may change their luck too.

Few months later Kanti Bhai visited Laxmi’s home in Gujarat with his wife, before leaving from there, Kanti Bhai gave her lot of gifts, gold etc and he also returned the lucky ring.

Kanti Bhai’s Wife got upset by that, she cursed her husband, “what was the need of returning the lucky ring. We may loose everything again”.
Kanti Bhai said ‘Its not the lucky ring, which did the miracle”
Sharda Ben looked at her husband with dis-belief and asked ‘Then what? even doctors believed on it?’
Kanti Bhai said ‘ Once Laxmi gave me the ring and left our home, I first kept the ring in pocket of my shirt, but then I realize that shirt will not go with me after death, so I kept the ring in hand, but even that wasn’t an options, so I even tried to swallow it but it wasn’t an option to carry the ring after death. I couldn’t find a way to carry the ring with me, so I realized that when I cant carry a small ring with me, what I will do with this money and property after death, So this was the miracle OR change in my thought, which brought my interest towards life”.

Sharda Ben looked at him and couldn’t speak a single word.

Kanti Bhai is still alive and living a healthy life in Kandhiwali, his son came back to home. Father and son go for social service on every Sunday and Holidays. Bhai has donated a few thousand to organization called ‘CRY’, which help in education of orphans.
Laxmi still living in Gujarat and she work for the organization, which help providing medicine to poor people. She still gives the lucky ring to people, who can deliver it to his loving husband, but this ring always came back to her.

If you want the lucky ring, you can reach out to Laxmi Ben. If you need Laxmi’s address then provide your valuable comments to this story.
